Mumbai

Mumbai
used to be a cluster of seven island of Koli fisherman who worshipped Mumba
Devi. Today the name Mumbai itself evokes an image of a bustling metropolis,
which is more than that in reality. It offers a potpourri of a variety of
cultures and traditions that make it an interesting place to explore.
Mumbai offers countless places of tourist interest including Chowpatty
Beach, Gateway Of India, Hutatma Chowk, Jain Temple, Mani Bhawan (Gandhi
Memorial), Marine Drive, Hanging Gardens, Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus, Haji
Ali Mosque, Juhu, Kalbadevi and Nehru Planetarium. Among the excursions:
Lonavala and Khandala are the two hill resorts near Mumbai and Matheran is
the nearest hill station.

Aurangabad
Located in the northern part of Maharashtra, the city offers some
breathtakingly beautiful monuments that date back to the Mughal era. The
royal feeling of the city has not faded with the time and can still be
witnessed in the form of countless relics and monuments. It also offers some
masterpieces of Himroo shawls, Mashru and Kimkhab Weaves.
Bibi Ka
Maqbara, which is an excellent example of Persian architecture is sure to
leave to spellbound. Aurangabad Caves display the influence of Tantric Cult.
In addition to this, other places of attraction include Girishneshwar
Temple, which is among twelve jyotirlingas. The most famous excursion to be
taken from Aurangabad is that of Ajanta and Ellora caves. Other excursions
include Daulatabad situated on a Pyramid -shaped hill and Khuldabad- the
burial place of Aurangzeb.

Khajuraho

Explore
Khajuraho and see the love finding perfect expression in the form of erotic
sculptures and carvings on the temple walls. Located in the heart of India,
it has a reputation of possessing some of the finest temples in India. The
town has witnessed a remarkable efflorescence of sculptural and
architectural arts that is reflected in the temples.
The temples
in Khajuraho belong to Shaiva, Vaishnav and Jain but have a lot in common.
The museum displays invaluable sculptures and ruined panels of ruined
temples. Shilpgram is another major tourist attraction of the city. Major

Pune
The history of Pune dates back to more than two thousand years. Since
colonial days, it has continued to develop as a major industrial city and
center for higher education. Today the city has a distinct place among the
tourist and especially among the followers of Bhagwan Rajnish. It also
offers spellbinding views of rocky Bhuleshwar Mountains.
